Documentation
Everything you need to deploy the platform, run it day to day, and answer your security team's questions. The platform is self-hosted, so these docs are written for the admin who operates it in their own environment. During a pilot, you have the team directly, not a help article.
Start here
The control model in brief, and the answers security teams ask first.
- What the platform does
- Intercept, decide, encrypt, sign, and audit. No changes to the client applications your teams already use.
- Trust & security overview
- Where your data lives, how content is protected with a key only you hold, and why Verillian never takes custody of it.
Read these now: how the platform works · trust & security. The operating guides below are the topics covered in the admin documentation, provisioned with your deployment.
Get set up
From prerequisites to a verified first run.
- Installation & deployment
- Prerequisites, host sizing, deployment options for cloud, on-premises, or air-gapped, and first-run verification.
- Sentinel install
- Install the signed, notarized agent on macOS or Windows, enroll through your identity provider, and confirm interception.
- Admin configuration
- The setup wizard, identity configuration, organization settings, and connecting the LLM tools your teams use.
Operate it
Author policy, review the record, and keep the deployment healthy.
- Policy authoring
- Write, test, and distribute signed policies, starting from a recommended baseline set.
- Reviewing the audit log
- Read the timeline, decrypt content in your browser, and verify the hash chain.
- Managing users & enrollment
- Provision and deprovision users within your seat limit.
- Operations runbook
- Routine health checks, backups, key custody, updating and patching, and troubleshooting.
- License management
- Install, view, renew, and expand your license; how seats and expiry work.
